Summer temps are here in North Carolina and one thing I have always LOVED most about the summer is a cold, sweet treat! I mean shoot, if I could eat ice cream daily, I would! Actually, I did eat that synthetic version of it in college and am 100% positive that is how I gained my “freshman 15”!
But as I find my balance in life, I want to know that I can enjoy something sweet, that not only satisfies that sweet tooth craving, but also helps me stay on track with my goals. If you read my post about dialing our goals up and down, this is one way I dial my nutrition UP!
Ingredients
8 oz of your favorite unsweetened nut milk or organic whole milk
2 scoops Arbonne Protein (my favorite)
2 tablespoons of your favorite nut butter (single ingredient is best)
1 banana (optional)
Optional Mix-Ins
fresh organic berries
banana slices
cacao nibs or dark chocolate chips
Optional Toppings
unsweetened coconut flakes
cacao nibs or dark chocolate chips
granola
chopped almonds, pecans, pistachios
Method
In a blender add all the main ingredients.
If using toppings, place about a tablespoon of your mixture at the bottom (will be the top of your popsicle).
Pour into silicone popsicle molds. If you are adding in some mix-ins, pour “batter” half-way or a third and add, then repeat process until your mold is just about full.
Sprinkle on some more toppings if you wish and add your stick!
Place in the freezer for about 4 hours or more and ENJOY!
